I have not been able to find much detail besides the detail on the abdication days later... When the train was stopped what troops exactly were blocking the track ahead that prevented Nicholas's train from going through? Was there an imperial guard accompanying Nicholas of any kind? And if Nicholas had made it to petrograd what do you think his actions would have been? would he have gone to the duma and compromised or would he have tried to rally the garrison to quash the uprising?

It is most likely that Nicholas's Prime Concern was getting to his family. As to what his actions might have been had he reached Petrograd I would safely say it woud depend upon WHOSE advice got to him first. He would have been left with little alternative but to concede to the Dumas demands....
