Hi avid Romanov fans,
just to say I have booked next year's summer holiday. Three weeks from 3 to 24 July based in St Petersburg and while I am there will be in Yekaterinburg from 15 to 18 July so as to be there on the anniversary. A postcard dealer contact has been very helpful and should be meeting me at the Airport and then taking me to Ganina Yama (the burial site) sometime over the weekend. I understand that crowds walk the distance between the new cathedral at Yekaterinburg and Ganina Yama on the anniversary. It should be a good experience.
Whilst I am in St. P I shall make several trips out to Tsarskoe Selo and get to the places that have been talked about on this site.
Needless to say, new photos will be posted in August 2012.
