I know that the parade halls have been given to the Tsarskoe Selo state museum and have been fully restored but what is presently happening to the wing that is not part of the state museum?

I was there in 2010 and work was in progress to renovate those rooms. Isn't there talk of a restaurant and other facilities. I shall be there in July this year and will send a progress report then.

I was there last week and workmen were still working on that side of the palace.

I think that we will only know once everything has been completed, and the museum opens its doors to the public. The Russians are by nature very secretive about everything I think, very little information has been forthcoming from this side of the Palace for a long time, so lets wait and see. It may be a really pleasant surprise !!
