Is it one of these?

I'm not certain where they were taken, but the clothing matches outfits they wore during their trips to Germany in 1910.

I'm fairly sure that the photos were taken at Massandra Palace, Crimea, ca. 1909 as they are both on the same index page at Beinecke.

Check out Beinecke album 4, page 26 at:

  http://beinecke.library.yale.edu/dl_crosscollex/romanov/oneITEM.asp?pid=1000718&iid=1000718&srchtype=

Photo no. 1000723 is the one with Olga & Tatiana sitting at the fountain (notice the umbrella) & photo no. 1000725 is Alexandra with Olga & Tatiana (and their umbrellas) wearing what appears to be the same outfits.

The railing/balustrade appears to be the same in both photos as well.

Regards,

Katya C.

Thank you! I thought something of the sort, but I wasn't sure...

By the way, it's the first photo. ( Why do they have walking sticks?)

Awww.... my mistake, I was talking about the photo on the left, the one of the Grand Duchesses at the pond/fountain with their umbrellas.

The photo on the right with the Grand Duchesses sitting on the bench with walking sticks may very well have been taken in Germany.

when one goes to that link,  Beinecke album 4, page 26 at:
http://beinecke.library.yale.edu/dl_crosscollex/romanov/oneITEM.asp?pid=1000718&iid=1000718&srchtype=

One sees that great photo of the big pair with their mother, but the next photo is of Alexandra alone, and what I had not noticed before , one sees her daughter's long shadows in the photo as well .Thanks for the link.

Well, I have seen some photos of IF visiting Massandra/South Crimea in the fall of 1909, and they indeed wore black dresses.

I'm looking for a picture of Olga from the 1914 formal session. This picture is quite rare and it has the watermark of the "bpk" website, and although I'v been looking for it through the "Rare pictures" threads I can't find it. Thanks in advance! =)

Luckily  I just saw this  yesterday among my MANY unorganized photos!  :)
Olga Nikolaevna , gorgeous even though such a watermark. Let me know if you ever find it without the lettering!
