Hi Jen!  We're glad to have you back--it's been really dead around here lately.

Another member not heard for a while: Grand Princess Shandroise. She hasn't been here since October 12th. I wonder what is going on with her. I do hope she is okay.

I hear from her every now and again, and last I knew, she was doing okay.  She just doesn't have as much time to be online right now, but I do hope she'll be around more in the future.

Thank you, Dru, for your answer. I'm glad to hear she's okay. I was starting to get worried.

Hey guys! I'm back from my long hiatus, too. I guess life just got in the way too much.

I hope you'll now have time to read the Days revival, Jen.  I would like to hear your thoughts on it.

I had a fire and had to move.  In the mist of everything, lost my book of passwords for my web addresses.  I tried reaching Time Machine on facebook.  No one even emailed me.  I found some old papers and note books.  In one was my password. Some times you cannot accessed the site.

May I presume that this is also the proper place to post before one goes missing?

We have outgrown the premises here, so the diocese is transferring us to a property approx. 50 miles away.

They plan to open a smaller convent here after we are gone.

So, I'm moving again and, thus, may be without Internet access and "incommunicado" for a while.

But, D.v.,  I will be back ASAP.

May you all have a blessed Christmas!

I decided to come back on here after a six-year hiatus. I'm surprised I remembered my login information! It's so weird coming back on here after all this time. It's like digging up a time capsule to my 12-14 year old self. I'm 20 now, and reading those older posts, it's a wonder anyone could stand me. I come off as so obnoxious, and my grammar is just hideous.

I can't really remember why I left. I used to have a DeviantART page under the name LadyLolitaLennon909 (and also used the name AnneFrank284 around this time), but I've since deleted that page. I guess the main reason why I left was because I lost interest in royalty and the Romanovs, and I was in middle school around this time and life got in the way. I remember being really depressed around the time I left AP and deleted my DA page. I don't really regret quitting my DA page, because I've been able to preserve a lot of the work I did around this time, even if I don't think most of it is all that great. I can do a lot better now. But, *sigh*, it's a reminder of how far I've come in my artistic abilities.

The only member on here that I remember talking to frequently was Hattie James. I remember she had a thing with Keegan, though I don't know what has happened since then. We had a lot of interests in common outside of the Romanovs, including The Beatles. I remember talking to her once since I left AP and it was about Elliott Smith's death. That was awhile ago too, and I don't know what she's been up to.

Inok Nikolai

I hope your move goes smoothly and you are back soon.

Your monastery must be really flourishing if you keep outgrowing premises like this!

Welcome back. And I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. Though I wasn't around six years ago to judge like a number of other members on this forum the simple fact that you even found and joined a serious history site such as this at the tender age of 12 speaks volumes in and unto itself!

It seems to ebb and flow with most people. A burst of interest for a few months and then Romanovphilia recedes below the surface again. Funny thing is that I had a similar experience around the same age. When I was an adolescent in the early-90s, shortly after the fall of the Soviet Union, I remember having a burst of interest in this subject, mostly past down from my mother who had recently read Nicholas & Alexandra. It lasted for maybe a year. But I was young - only 11 or 12 - and history subjects weren't of immediate interest or concern. Then a few years later when the Jewels Tour made it's way to the U.S. I got interested again for a few months...would have been 17 or 18 at this time. But once again it vanished and I moved onto to other subjects of historical interest; American Civil War, Vietnam-era, WW2, etc. Finally the bug bit me again in 2011, almost out of nowhere, and while the last year and half or so has been a busier (hectic!) time in my life it's never really left me...

I think you and I would definitely have gotten along then :-)

As in "Miss Misery" Elliot Smith? That was at least a couple of years before you joined the AP I believe.
