I think so.

As for nicknames, I don't think Margarita, Cecilie or Philip has them.

Possibly for Phillip to his parents, "Baby" since most royal parents call their youngest that.

Or not. It is speculative and has no basis. They could also have call him boy, since he was the only one.  ;)

I hope not!

One of the things I hate here is having to hunt for stuff before one makes a suggestion or comment, in case someone else has already done so.
So my apologies if anyone has recommended the book " ROYALS AND THE REICH"  by Jonathan Petropoulos.
Most of the issues raised here are contained in this book. The Hugo Vickers biography of Princess Andrew also answers many questions, some of which have never been written about before. I think Hugo Vickers books are brilliantly researched, and probably as close as we will ever get to the truth about the private lives of the royal families of Europe.

I can really recommend the Petropoulos book, it is fantastically researched, and a real eye opener. Also very revealing, as it answers many questions on what was, and maybe still is, a very thorny issue.

However, I must say that Prince Phillips mother was not a very exiciting person to read about. So for me it was heavy going.
She was a strange woman, and perhaps a bit of an embarrassment to the family.

I think there are quite a few things that we do not know about Princess Alice. We only have a partical picture here. There is no book on the sisters and I think their lives are most interesting. Hopefully some author could pick up on that.  :)

Photos of at least Sophie's first wedding can be found in old German magazines. I don't really buy ones from around the time of the 2nd wedding because the copyright is still good so I can't say whether that would be an avenue to pursue.

No, but as I said, I haven't really looked either. The ebay card was the first one I went after.
