Amelia Earhart resembles Tatiana??

Ooops!  Never mind. It showed up now.  Not quite so much in that one though. :-/

But you know, even among the different pictures of the sisters that we always see, they don't always resemble themselves. It just depends on angles and lighting too... I know that I have pictures of myself where I don't look anything like myself!
That photo, this is about 20 later, she is probably in her late 30's there, so Tatiana may have aged to look kind of like that too  !

This is kind of a silly post, but for a long time I thought that Amelia Earhart sort of resembles Tatiana, especially in certain pictures.  This is the picture where I first saw this resemblance, it was used in an ad for Apple computer several years ago (I think).



Is it my imagination or does anyone else see a strong resemblance here? (Please note: I am not trying to imply anything, like that maybe Amelia was the long lost Grand Duchess who learned how to fly airplanes and escaped that way, or anything like that    )

Maybe Tatiana's "rescue" by aeroplane from Ekaterinburg inspired her to take up flying! She changed her name to Ameial Earhart, and then when the Soviets found out about it, they tracked her down and shot down her plane! (in between fighting UFOs)  

You know, this DOES make some sense! Stop filling my head with ideas!!!!!

I don't think they looked that much alike.  In some photographs at certain angles, maybe, but I think if you were to see them in real life, side by side, there would be an obvious difference.  Also, is the first picture of Tatiana touched up a bit?

yes, ive seen this picture before, and it looks like her eyes and nose were rounding. i suspected some touching up too.

But even if tatiana lost some of her looks as a result of age, i still think the 2nd pic looks a little off, but on closer inspection, you havta take a double take....
