His Russian and French Wikipedia articles say that his father, Major-General Dmitriy Ivanovich Nechvolodov was a nobleman from Yekaterinoslav Governorate (modern-day Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraina) who participated in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877. He had a younger brother, Mikhail (1867—1951) who was a major-general and took a heroïc part in WW1. This brother also emigrated to Paris where he worked as a taxi driver. Aleksandr Dmitrovich was a bachelor, but adopted a child in 1896, raised and educated this child (unnamed). His brother's Wikipedia article lists their father's patronymic as Aleksandrovich.
He finished second at St. Petersburg military school. After graduating from this gymnasium he came in third at the Aleksandrovsky Military School , a year after he leaves and goes to serve as a volunteer of the 2nd rank in the Life Guards Pavlovsky Regiment. In the spring of 1882 he takes external examinations for the full course of the military school , and in July 1883 he becomes an officer with the rank of second lieutenant , and in August of the same year ensign . In 1889 he graduated from the Nikolaevsky General Staff Academy ( first class ) .
BTW he was born in St. Petersburg 25th of March 1864 and died in Paris 5th of December 1938. He is buried in the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery.
There is also a possible relative, Aleksandr Semyonovich Nechvolodov (1882—1920) who was a hero of WW1 before he joined the Red Army at the Revolution, defected and died fighting the Red Army.
