Rasputin's Interest in Olga Nicholaevna

I've heard that Rasputin was attracted to Olga. Did Nikolai or Aleksandra know this? I think that if they had known this, Nikolai would have freaked out and said something.

Don't listen to anything the History Channel says. I'd be surprised if they actually did research before making their documentaries.

Maybe they meant Olga Aleksandrovna since she did talk about him asking her questions about her married life.  Knowing History Channel they could have distorted that and said he was interested in Olga Nikolaevna.  History Channel tends to do that.

There were rumors at the time that Rasputin constantly visited OTMA while they were in various states of undress before going to bed etc. and that he was interested in all of them, not just in Olga N. The rumors were spread by a couple governesses, including Vishnyakova and another one whose name I forget. Knowing R's nature, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually fancied the girls. But he was smart enough to know that they were off limits and that there was only so far he could go with them.

I think that many people didn't like the idea of Rasputin visiting them at such an innapropriet time, if he did it anyway.

Please, read the other threads. Rasputin NEVER said anything or did anything unappropriate toward the Grand Duchesses ever. Rasputin NEVER was "allowed to visit the girls while undressing." These are all unfounded rumors that circulated in the 1910s in Russia and continue today. IT JUST DIDN"T HAPPEN folks. Rasputin's visits were always short, usually less than 20 minutes and he was never ever alone with the children without adults around. We have the Court records, we have the first hand word of the people who WERE there.

I know that this is probly most definalty 100% false,  but Rasputin always boasted when he was drunk that he 'deflowered' the grand duchesses and did the same with the Tsarina. I think that is totally appalling, and that's probly what sparked Yussupov's hatred even more, among other things..

The key is, even if he did say this, is that he was drunk when he said it...

I don't say it's true either, all I said was that there were rumors about it, perhaps just slander.
As far as the story with Olga Alexandrovna is concerned however, that is her own account.

I vaguely remember that her duties were curtailed to a point that she felt uncomfortable and left altogether. Wasn't her name Tutchyeva or something?
