Not entirely Romanov related, but has anyone ever heard of Alexander Schmorell before?

Alexander Schmorell was part of the group people call the White Rose, that printed and distributed anti-nazi leaflets in 1942-1943born September 16 (3rd, O.S.) 1917 in Orenberg, Russia. His father was a German doctor, and his mother was Russian (daughter of a R.O. priest) - who died when he was a few years old) His family moved back to Munich in the early 1920s.

and yes, I've read some of those letters. sad but heartening too
