No, the old link didn't work anymore, plus I recently combined 2-3 threads. Here's a new link:

http://forum.alexanderpalace.org/index.php/topic,3720.0.html

It's located on the first page of the Hohenzollerns, about 2/3 of the way down. It's Family of Friedrich Karl of Prussia and Marie of Anhalt.

Thanks Gdella.  Smiley His son (Friedrich Karl) dosn't seem to be a very charming person either.
Princess Anna I think was well regarded by her Danish-Hesse family.

Are there any pictures of Wilhelm I when he was young ?
I've only seen pics of him at old age when he was the Emperor  Undecided.

I am also looking for pics of:
1. Dorothea von Salviati and her daughters Felicitas and Christa,
2. Pr.Frederick-Wilhelm and his 2 first wives, Waltraud Freytag and Ehrengard v.Reden, and children Fr.Wilhelm, Viktoria-Luisa and Joachim;
3. Pr.Michael's daughters Michaela and Natalya
4. Countess Nina zu Reventlow and sons Christian-Luis and Irina
5. Pr.Frederick and lady Brigid Guiness and family

Thanks in advance.

There won't be any photos of him since photography didn't come about until he was well into middle age. There are portraits of him as a child on the forum.

She must have had some respect from her husband family, as she was godmother to at least two of his grandchildren, Frierich Wilhelm (1831), who later became Emperor Friedrich III, and Anna of Prussia (1836), who later married Landgrave Friedrich Wilhelm of Hesse-Cassel.

Queen Louise appears to have been a lovely lady!!! I don't get the impression her daughters where, they were unpleasent to Empress Frederick.
What was Louises' father and husbands reaction to her death? I believe she was visiting her father at the time of her death?

Which Louise are you referring to ?  Louise of Prussia had 2 sons ( one of which was Wilhelm I ) not daughters .....

 Huh
Correct me if i'm wrong but i believe Louise had four sons -
William IV who married Queen Elisabeth (she left her jewels to Vicky)
Wilhelm I (Vickys father in law)
Charles
Albert (married to Marianne, he boxed her ears when she gave birth to a daughter. They later seperated)

Then three girls:
Charlotte became Empress of Russia. She treated Vicky to a showing of her jewels, Vicky was impressed but loyally wrote home to QV "yours are nicer" I love that!!
Alexandrine, not a particularly pleasent lady by some accounts. She lived to a good age though, outliving all her children.
Louise

Vickys biography by Hannah Pakula has interesting infomation about them! Smiley

Here are Queen Louise's children:

FRIEDRICH WILHELM IV, King of Prussia (1795-1861); m.1823 Elisabeth, Pss of Bavaria
WILHELM I (1797-1888); m.1829 Auguste of Saxe-Weimar
Friederike Luise Charlotte Wilhelmine, took the name Alexandra Feodorovna on her Orthodox baptism (1798-1860); m. 1817 Nicholas I of Russia
Friederike (1799-1800)
Friedrich Karl Alexander (1801-1883); m.1827 Marie Luise of Saxe-Weimar
Friederike Wilhelmine Alexandrine Marie Helene (1803-1892); m. 1822 Paul Friedrich, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin
Ferdinand Friedrich Julius Leopold (Dec 1804-Apr 1806)
Luise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie (1808-1870); m.1825 Frederik of the Netherlands
Friedrich Heinrich Albrecht (1809-1872); m.1st 1830 (div 1849) Marianne of the Netherlands ; m.2d 1850 Rosalie von Rauch, created Grafin von Hohenau 1853

Wilhelm I was apparently devoted to her and named his only daughter, the future GDss of Baden after her. There was an unbroken line of about 7 generations of Louises.

Louise of Prussia
her daughter Louise of the Netherlands
her daughter Louise of Sweden
her daughter Louise of Denmark (Aunt Swan)
her daughter Louise of Schaumburg-Lippe
her daughter Louise of Prussia (married Friedrich Sigismund)
her daughter Louise Reinhold, the last Louise

Most of Louise's other children named one of their children in her honor as well, and her great-granddaughter (through her son Karl) was Louise, Princess of Connaught. So between Louise of Sweden, Louise of Baden (whose daughter Victoria became Queen), Louise of Denmark (some of who descendants married into Swedish royalty), Louise of Connaught (whose daughter was the Crown Princess), they have a long history with Sweden. Some of the Swedish royal jewels go back to, if not the first Louise, then the 2nd (of the Netherlands).
