June 29th, the new prince's birthdate, is also the feast day for Saints Peter and Paul. I know Peter isn't a common name among the GRF, so I am going to guess that the boy will be named Prince Pavlos, or some combination of the saints' names.

I note that the Crown Princess gave birth at Cedars Sinari Hospital here in LA - an excellent choice for anyone, but especially good because I recall she had complications with the last birth. No sense in taking any chances with her or their baby.

Ilias Pericles?
 Smiley
I dont think Pavlos would be included, us Greeks dont name the son after the father, but Peter is nice,,,,
what about Petros  Pericles or Petros Themistocles?

Uhh,Aristides Stavros maybe.....

Confirmed by Paul Theroff pages - it is Aristidis-Stavros...
What does this name means? Is it typical in Greece?

I have read this news as well, but I wont say it is true until it is announced on H.M'S website.

Aristidis is an ancient Greek name, (Athenian I think),but I cant remember who was the first, all I can say is that it comes from the word Aristos, which means excellent or perfect, and that there are quite a few Aristidis' around the world. Stavros means "of the cross",ie cross of Christ.
It makes me proud that the Crown Prince is continuing his family's proud tradition of naming their children with Greek names, both modern ie Christian, and ancient ie BC.

It reinforces the fact that they are "of Greece".

Well done Lucien,
Amazing what you can find when you have the time.
They all looked happy and relaxed.
The journalist in that ridiculous blue dress(according to my wife)said that they were showing the Christening live, can anyone try and find it on the net?
cheers,
