The godchild of the army and the fleet (=navy).

The legend:

Princess Aikaterini, youngest daughter of Constantine and Sophia.
"The godchild of the army and the fleet".

Comment: Constantine, son of George I (a Dane prince) and Sophia (Kaiser Wilhelm's sister)

PrinceEddy1864:
Oh so it is Katherine. Thank you for the translation. I did not even recognize her. It is a lovely portrait. She looks a bit like Sophie when she was a child. We had discussed the fact that she may not have actually been Tino's daughter on another thread. In this photo you can see that there is little resemblance to him. I do think she looks a bit like her elder brother Alexander in this photo though.

mardam:
Lexar, thank you for  translation  :D now I can file her with the right name. Also thanks for the complements for my website. I like to make it and  happy to have many visitors.

Prince_Christopher:
Could someone discuss the life of Princess Katherine of Greece, youngest child of King Constantine and Queen Sophie. How did she meet Mr. Brandram and what was life like for her in England after she decided to become known as Lady Katherine. Did she grow up in England? I read somewhere that Queen Sophie had wanted all of her daughters to marry Englishmen.
