Well, yes. I am not sure if there was any poster for any 1913 ball. I have never heard of it, but 1913 was such a year, that perhaps a ball needn't be big to have a poster if it was special ball for the celebrations that year.

I tried to search anything about this ball and came across with this:

http://www.vicmart.com/ext/items/4ae9b02a_rus1913romanov300ywintpalballinvit.jpg

"The present item is an official Invitation Card for inviting the Bulgarian Embassy Military Attache to attend the special Winter Palace Gala Dinner and Ball on the occasion of celebrating the 300 years of the Romanov Dynasty." this is said in this page: http://www.vicmart.com/ext/en/exrw/item=3946 there is more some info about the ball and it is forth for reading

Just to make sure there was ball Wink

I hope this hasn´t been posted already. If so, please, Forum Admin, delete the thread. Or move it since I had no idea where to put it Smiley

Fantastic! If I may add:

I'll add that Year was in Russian Empire full of ceremonies. I'd love to see IF plans of visitings and ceremonies from that year. Whih cities IF visited, when, and some datilies.

It was February 21th 1613 -- at Kostroma when the first of all Romanovs was choosed and conorated as First Emperor, at Iptiyevsky monastery.

Also, 1913 was successful year in Imperial Russia. In many points of view. IF toke hundreds of photos, as regimentlas, as officials.

In 1913, Russia was second or third state in world because of economy.
I think IF started 'tour' across Russia from Kostroma on May 1913:

Also, I believe moment of 300 years was day 22nd February 1913. Alright?
They visited Feodorovsky and Uspensky Gorodok.

Is anyone thoroughly familiar with letters, diaries, and other Imperial Family documents interested in posting what they were up to 100 years ago each day?

When these reenactors did a Bicentennial commemoration, they read the journal entry each day for where the group they portrayed was and what they did that day.  Since the Imperial family kept many letters, diaries, and other documents (didn't the Tzar even catalog his cufflinks?) there must be an exact day-to-day record of where they were and what they did each day, for anyone who is interested enough in the topic.

Yes, it's amazing how many pictures survived and it's been said we haven't seen all there are.

If more of the IF's diaries- letters had been published, this would be an easier topic to do, but it can still be done. Books that would help people contribute to this topic are A Lifelong Passion, the War-time Correspondence of Nicholas and Alexandra, and Olga's 1913 diary. Also, on this site, the Time Machine, there are diaries and letters of the Romanovs. I don't own those books. But anyway, we should decide on a year to start at- April of what year? I think there will be days we won't be able to fill in, but others we can.

People READ THE THREAD TITLE.  It says 100 years ago today...That means 1909.....geeeeezzzzzz

I only have Spiridovitch to use for this purpose. I can only tell you that all of April 1909 was at the Alexander Palace. Vladimir Alexandrovich had died on Feb. 4, 1909 and the Court would have been in mourning. Easter was spent at the Palace.  I have no specific dates mentioned for April at all, and nothing until May 23, 1909 when the Monument to Alexander III was dedicated in St. Petersburg.
