A question: could somebody tell me for sure who the women on the far left and far right are (I guess the ones in the middle are Olga N., Alix and Tatiana)? -->

I think the woman on the far left is Olga Alexandrovna, but I'm not quite sure.

Can anyone ID the woman with OTMA in the photos on the right side of this page?

http://beinecke.library.yale.edu/dl_crosscollex/romanov/oneITEM.asp?pid=1001062&iid=1001062&srchtype=

I've often seen her labeled as Buxhoeveden, but the spelling in the caption doesn't seem to match. (I don't much think it looks like her, anyway.)

You mean the one in the top right corner? And the one under it? But this photos feature only OTA... Well, the photo in the top right corner is labeled as "Саблинь ІІ, Неверовский, В.К. Ольга, Бюцова (or Бющова , not sure about if its ц/щ ), В.К. Анастаси́я, В.К. Татьяна, Саблинь ІІІ и Честяковь" The one under it is labeled as "Тоже", which actually means... "same", or "also"; so the people in the two pics are the same. As far as I know, Buxhoeveden is Буксгевден in Russian, and she's not mentioned there. And she doesn't look like her to me... Oh, and I'm sorry if you meant another photos. :-|

THANK YOU. I can read Russian, but I have an awful time deciphering handwritten text.

This entry on the Russian Wikipedia site mentions an Olga Yevgeneva Byutsova, who was the daughter of a Russian diplomat and lady in waiting to the empress. She's probably the one in the photo.

You're welcome. And yes, it's very possible that it's this Olga Byutsova you mentioned. : )

Could someone tell me who the children on that picture are? As I know prince Christophe is the youngest son of king of Greece, but what about those others [princess Helene and prince George]- who are they?

Where this one was taken? At Livadia? Somewhere at Stavka?  But I am sure it is 1914 or even after. Any source, or caption said in the book?

I think Tsarskoe Selo because there's a picture of Olga riding a bicycle with Anastasia besides her and the background looks like the Alexander Park.

You mean this one? Oh, now I see AP can be also an alternative answer. Thanks! My best guess is 1914, if possible, autumn.

Does anyone know who are the two girls with Maria and Anastasia in this picture:

I think they might be two of Prince Andrew of Greece's daughters but I'm far from being sure...

this may not be the best place to ask.... If the admins can find a more proper place, feel free to move it...

Iīd love to write a n important seminar paper on the Romanovs, which my teacher thinks could perhaps be offered to somebody as a book. Iīd like to use some pictures of course, and thatīs what I need to know. What do I need to acquire a permission to print the pictures of the last Imperial family? The truth is that there are thousands "up for grabs" to anybody thanks to internet. Am I free to use them?
