This day in history (18 February for the Russian Calender of the time): A very sad day for Nicholas.

The signing of the treaty of Brest-Litovsk by the Bolsheviks, the same treaty that signed away [glb]4,000 [/glb]square miles of Russian land, including the Standart stop Finland, Esthonia,Livonia, Courland, Lithuania, and Poland.

Have you ever thought that it might have affected more people than just Nikolai Alexandrovich?

Finland, Livonia, Courland, Lithuania and Poland are not Russian lands.

They were before the signing of the treaty.

And I am just saying Nicholas was one of the people who was stricken at the time. Why, should I list the entire Russian population who was dismayed because of the treaty?

They may been part of the Russian Empire, but they certainly were not Russian.

Perhaps a sad day for Russia would be more appropriate.
