Bagshot Park in 1927, the Dukes home from 1880 until he died here in 1942. I believe the Duchess died at Clarence House...

It looks likes a beautiful property. Queen Victoria had it built in 1878 after demolishing the original house (as they did with Sandringham!).
Apparently there is a beautifully ornate room called the Indian Room....

I think it's the uniform he wore at one of the German weddings as well as other occasions he was in Germany. I believe he was given an honorarium because a) he was the Kaiser's uncle and b) married a Prussian princess (who was Colonel of her own regiment of Uhlans (?) ).
