I've seen the one of Louise listed as 1910 as well.  :-\ Here are some others:

Hi Ella,

Thank you for these wonderful pictures.

A Note:
The Duke and Duchess of Connaught were Governor General and First Lady of Canada from 1912 to 1916.
Princess Patricia formed a Canadian regiment in 1914 called "The Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry" (PPCLI), which fought & distinguished itself in WWI and WWII and today forms a peacekeeping force in a couple of world hotspots...
The Countess Mountbatten (Patricia) is Colonel-in-Chief of this regiment now.

I live in an area of Calgary called "Connaught"......

Larry

I wonder if Arthur missed his eldest daughter...

Daisy? It was reported (I think I wrote about it) that he was devastated when she died. He had a hard time reconciling himself to Gustav's remarriage.

I am currently reading & enjoying "The Queen's Knight, The extraodinary life of Queen Victoria's most trusted confident" i.e. Sir Howard Elphinstone, Prince Arthurs governor. It is a very interesting read with some splendid photos. It contains lots of extracts from letters and journals of Queen Victoria and letters to Howard from all the royal children, as they all came to rely on him, especially Vicky and Helena. I highly recommend it.

I wonder why there had not been a book on the life of Margaret of Sweden. Even the bios of her parentscontain little of the family life of the Connaughts...

Thank you Adagietto. The Princess Patricia and Margaret where beautiful weren't they? Such lovely thick hair and an air of royalty about them!!

The first one of Patricia is taken from a group photo of a large party of royals--I think a shooting party at Sandringham or Wilhelm II's visit.

Yes...But it was Patricia who was classically more beautiful but in a cold way (like Alicky).
