I found a book in my university's library called _The Fall of the Romanoffs: How the ex-Empress and Rasputine caused the Russian Revolution_ by someone known as "the author of "Russian Court Memoirs" It was published in New York and London in 1917.
Does anyone know anything about this book, and who wrote it?
Any help would be appreciated. :)

It's one of a number of books pumped up just after the Revolution.  I believe that it is the work of Princess Catherine Radziwill-I have seen her listed in various bibliographies as author.  She wrote anonymously, under her own name, and under the pseudonym of Count Paul Vassili.

As to the book itself-the title says it all-and should give a hint about its veracity!

Any insight into why Radziwill was so against the Imperial Family and especially Alexandra? I can't seem to recall reading about this.

Could anybody tell me more about this book:

Russian Court Memoirs
Full Title The Fall of the Romanoffs
How the Ex-Empress and Rasputin Caused the Russian Revolution

Place of Publication  E. P. Dutton and Company, New York
Year of Publication  1917

The 'author' appears under the title of "Russian Court Memoirs" which is not very helpful.
Cheers

It sounds like a book by princess Catherine Radzivill. She wrote several books about the Romanovs and other european dynasties and courts. They are not very reliable to say the least but perhaps entertaining. She often wrote under a pseudonym.

Thanks, yes I guessed it might be her. What interested me was the publication date - it may be gossipy, unreliable etc but it is at least contemporary.
