Nice horse! I have to admit that I notice the horses more than the riders!

Was Cecilie a keen rider? I note that she is using a double bridle.

Kronprinzessin Cecilie: Eine Bildbiographie -- Jörg Kirschstein ( Edition Q, 2004 )

I bought this book recently and I absolutely love it!!! Smiley The book has 160 pages & a total of 151 pics & paintings of CP Cecilie and her family ...it even contains the beautiful portrait of Cecilie by Philip Alexius de László from 1908 (which is one of my favourites royal portraits ever ). Smiley The book is not very large ( 25 x 23 x 2 cm -- so not quite  a coffee-table book in size ), but the quality of the pics is, in my opinion, excellent!
There are rare photos of Cecilie as a middle-age / older woman with other family members....my only complaint is that it only contains 2 or 3 pics from her childhood, I would have liked more ... Smiley
I would expect any devotee of Crown Princess Cecilie to be very happy with it.

Definitely recommended.

You can buy it from: http://www.hoogstraten.nl/theshop/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_48&products_id=496

There is a new edition of this book which is basically is a reprint of the first edition. There is a new cover and new price, the text has been corrected as well but there are not any new photos or new information.

Can someone post pictures/photos of Kira Harris, please.

In one of these threads there were a few (I remember one with her nanny) but I am afraid I lost it.

Thanks in advance

José

Here is Kira with her German nanny

I always like to look at their names, in this case Kira Alexandrine Brigid Cecilia Ingrid. Cecile must have been fond of her sister-in-law Kira (or just really like the name, I guess), Alexandrine would have been for her aunt, the Queen of Denmark and for Cecile's sister; Brigid was another sister-in-law, Brigid Guiness; Cecilia is pretty self-explanatory; Ingrid was her cousin Frederick IX of Denmark's wife. It seems that Cecile Jr had good relations with her contemporary relatives--blood and marriage.

Also noticed that Kira Harris was listed as a guest at George Friedrich & Sophie's wedding. Netty had gathered the guest list on her blog:

Thank you so much, Grandduchessella.

It would be great to see photos of her nowadays.

Too bad most of G-F's german relatives are such private persons and would not have been recognized and taken the photo at his wedding.

^^^  One of her most pleasing images. At this time in her life, her beguiling attractiveness was a significant asset to the royal family.
