Dear members,

Could someone please tell me who is she?, Is she still alive?, What

In the spanish note says she was the "daughter of the last king of Serbia" and as far as i know, the last king of Serbia was Peter I who didnt have any daughter (at least legitimate) with that name.

It might mean the last King of the Obrenovic line--wasn't that Alexander I? He left no legitimate children--his marriage to Draga was childless. She could be claiming an illegitimate descendancy. Alexander's father Milan left an illegitimate son--by Artemisia Christic named Obren Christic (1889-1925), who assumed the name and title Prince George Obrenovic. He attempted to gain the throne in 1906--perhaps any descendants (he doesn't appear to have legitimate ones) maintained him as the 'rightful' Last King and the descent comes form him? Or it could be a bunch of hooey.

Thanks, grandduchessella.
I thought that may be the case (a self-appointed ex-princess), but I'd still like to know more, due to the nature of the book she wrote. Her writing shows a keen knowledge of the dangers of communists/marxists and of their opponents as well. At times she sounds as if she had -in 1960- seen 50 years ahead into the future and describes the kind of world we have today!. In my opinion this lady's power of observation and ability to see what was  in store for the world is truly amazing. She clearly understood that in 1962 our world was on a terrible slippery slope and warned all about it.  I suspect she may be dead already because in her photos she already looks like a woman in her fifties.
Cordially,
Alfred M.

I found this further about 'Prince' George:

"According to a 2003 article by the Serbian media company Novosti AD, George had a son called Stefan who served as a cavalry captain in the French Army. Stefan in turn had a son named Panta (Panka) Obrenovic (also known as Mark Eme) who served as chairman of the "Fund Obrenović" until his death in Paris in early 2002.

Still no mention there of an Alexandra. Perhaps this Fund Obrenovic (I have no idea what that is) would know more.

There were so many articles written by the press that have no base in reality. They publish that kind of articles just for publicity...

Certainly there wasn't any Princess Alexandra Obrenovic which was,as the article says, daughter of the last Obrenovich King, nor any other Obrenovich member...Btw,Obrenovic can very very common family name and based on connection to the dynasty someone could claim false title and add to his or her name...

In recent years, there was an article in Serbian newspapers about "certain Count" Gabriel Konstantin Karadjordjevic, who claimed to be the grandson of "Princess Maria Elisabeth Karadjordjevic-Yusupov",who in turn was an illegitimate daughter of former Crown Prince George Karadjordjevic and Countess Alexandra von Merenberg(almost 20 years older than him)...

So,don't believe in everything that is published ;)
