Tell me this is just another coincidental shadow glitch.  This seems to be taken the same day as the other picture where everyone thought her arm looked deformed, and it appears the same way in this one if you look at it.

Are you sure that's Alix? I'm having my doubts. Undecided

LOL - Oh please don't tell me that I've posted one of Anna Vyrubova... Undecided Embarrassed, I have to admit that the body shape of "this woman" don't looks exactly like the Empress body shape in 1907-1908...oh my God, I hope that it's just a wrong impression...

No, it doesn't look like Vyrubova either. This woman is thinner (I think). Maybe a nurse or relative of some sort? Because the face, to me from what I can see, doesn't look like Alix's.

I saw the cutest picture of Alix and Nicky on the Standart(I think) in the middle of a kiss (why can't these photographers leave them alone?) in a Youtube video-tribute to them.  I'd send a link, but I don't remember which vid, i'm on vacation in Thailand which has a ban on Youtube, and i can't seem to find the picture on the web, plus there are probably fifty pictures in the video, so it's not worth it to post a link.  if anyone can find this picture, kudos to you.

Are they sitting on or near some steps in the photo?  If I'm thinking of the right one, it was taken very early in their marriage, and the full one had Xenia and Sandro, with Olga A actually standing on the steps in some strange "flight" pose, lol.  : )  I love that photo.

Why is it never find these?  Maybe I need to stop using Google.  It's worthless.

Could it be Ropsha Palace, in 1907. I am almost certain this one was taken at the same day.

Of course, now that I've seen the full picture, I'll never think that picture is "cute" again.  It's too funny with Olga posing in the middle like that.

This portrait  - not a photo, I know - was painted around 1896 by Albert von Keller and is now shown at an exhibition at the Kulturhaus Zürich, Swiss.(http://www.kunsthaus.ch/en/exhibitions/current/albert-von-keller/?redirect_url=title%3DLa).

Thank you - the portrait made after her photosession and I think - the color isn't real - not St. Andrews, but St.Catherine's Order ribbon...

That portrait is so wonderful. I believe Alix is a person who one can perfectly make a masterpiece with.
Sorry if this is re-posted before.
