You mean expensive to get the info or to translate it...

Eric, he had discussed the translation thing many times in the Forum. Such editions are expensive due to the translation, editing and small marketplace.

I don't think there is a small market place. In fact there is a big market place if you think Ella spawned at least 5 bios. A selection of the diary translated dealing with Queen Victoria & her family, The Hesse family, The Battenberg family would create huge interest. In fact if you look at the businesses of Paul Gilbert & Arturo Beeche came mostly from their printing of books and articles on the Romanov family.

I book my at this site Olga from St-Petersbourg is refering, Russian pilgrim (Russky Palomnik), idrp.riu To tell the truth I waited long until they had on in store, but it works. You can although get the books direct at the Novospassky monastery in Moscow. I have no idea if they can sell you one online and dispach is to the States, but you can try to look at their site http://novospasskiymon.ru/
Those volumes sounds incredible! I am excited to get my hands on them. With your help and some extra sleuthing, I was able to get volumes 3 & 4! Thank you so much!

Reviving an ancient thread again, but I am looking for a little help with a quote I found on a different thread (which has been closed) on the forum.

Quote from: Penny_Wilson
In GK's "In The Marble Palace," he recalls how he and his brother Ioann used to shove each other all over the place on carriage rides to visit Serge and Ella, so as to be placed well enough to be first out of the carriage to "run to the study and jump in Uncle Serge's lap."

Strangely enough I have been unable to find this quote in the Russian version of Gavriil Konstantinovich's "In The Marble Palace" so perhaps there is someone who has the book in English and could refer me to the exact edition/page (or at least chapter) where this is taken from? I would be very thankful.
