Yes - it seems as if Edward is deposed simply because of homophobia.  Having said that, I loved the film, especially where Isabella kills Kent by chowing down on his neck!   Grin

Some of you may be interested that I've updated my blog!   Grin  Looking forward to your comments!  And if anyone's interested in a group about the first 3 Edwards, here it is:  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thefirst3edwards/

Cheers all!

I think Jarman had a certain female prime minister in mind when he created the role of Isabella!

I was wondering when you'd take on Paul Doherty!  I've enjoyed some of his novels but think he'd do better to stick to that format.

Thanks for the comments, Lorelei!   Cheesy

I also like some of Doherty's novels - he'd do better to stick to fiction, in my view.  He has a new one called The Cup of Ghosts which is set in Ed II's reign, and Isabella is a major character.  He's on much surer ground there - both Ed and Isa are portrayed quite sympathetically.

Hi all - I've updated my blog again to include a review of an appallingly bad PhD thesis by Katherine Gretchen Allocco- looking forward to your comments!   Cheesy
