Is it known whether this book will be translated into English?

Several of Troyat's books have been translated into English.  I have in my collection a bio on AIII by Charles Lowe that was published in 1894.

We just need to be patient for the translation, even though several months have passed since this book first appeared on the market.

Am I right in believing that all of Troyat's books have been translated into English? I have the entire collection, in English and one book in Russian? :)

I am not sure, but don't remember when Troyat's last book came out.   However, translations can take several years, and these days, ANglo-American publishers are less likely to take on translations for books that will sell only a limited number.

All of Troyat's books would have similar readership numbers. If anything there would be a slight increase in readership because more English readers are studying Russian history today.

The book is translated into Russian. Frankly I don't think it's an oustanding book on Alexander III. :(

Yes I have seen the Russian language book, but I am not overly impressed with Troyat's interpretations when compared to other more scholary works. I doubt I shall rush out and acquire this work any time soon.

The Russian book on Alexander III which I do have in my collection is by Bokhanov (2001). The same author has also published in the same year the correspondence between Alexander III and his consort, Maria Feodorovna.

I bought a copy of the Alexander III book by Troyat in Paris last fall, but have not had the tiime to read it.  I have enjoyed his previous books either in English or French.  The frustrating thing about French-published books is that most do not have an Index...crazy!

It is incredibly fustrating when an Index is omitted from a book. Forunately this is not common.
