I was wondering what happened to the Palace that Queen Juliana resided in. I recall when she abdicated she remained in residence and the current queen resided in Huis Den Bosch I think it is called. Is the palace of the former queen still used by the family?

You refer to Soestdijk Palace. No,it was sold to the State by Juliana in the early 70's.After Prince Bernhard passed away in december 2004 the palace was emptied of personal belongings by the RF.At present the Palace is a temporary museum until next year that is,as it hasn't yet been decided what to do with it,unfortunately. No chance that the Heir will ever live there due to the lack of privacy since that got a different meaning in our day and age,or will be in use as a Royal residence by any member of our RF.Pitty.The gardens & park are beautifull, the former Orangerie is a restaurant now.The place does need a huge restauration, last time that was done was in 1936/1937.
