You won´t find specific detail plans on any of the Palaces,not even Het Loo Palace James.

Some total waste nutcase threw stones through the windows of Noordeinde Palace.Really,we seem to have more and more nutcases
that only live to cause trouble,maybe there's a lack of being impressed with consequences.The may 4th incident,last year Queensday,

Is there a way to increase the size of the plans?

Today is the last day,sadly,of tours through Soestdijk Palace that drew 600.000 visitors in 3 years time since the opening as of january 1st only the garden will be open to the public,and the shop & restaurant ofcourse.It is still not decided what destination this former home for over 60 years of the late Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard will get.The late Queen sold it to the State in the early '70,and they can't make up their mind.A Royal future in unlikely,non of the Royals wish to live there if it was for the lack of privacy alone.

Whatever needs to be done first is a very thorough renovation of the whole caboodle,the last time it saw major renovations was in 1936/37 after which Juliana
and Bernhard moved in.The plaster comes of the outside walls at the garden side of the Palace.

For 2011 stage plays are planned at the large pond in the garden....hmm,we'll see,as it says "Orpheus" "on the water and underneath"....

Pitty really,that a historic and magnificent Palace as Soestdijk is,stands close to derelict for too long.

Soestdijk Palace in winter.The residence of the late Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard is still a museum untill the end of 2010.

The Palace will be open again for tours in march for three more months on fridays saturdays and sundays due to the immens succes
and the fact the government can't make up their minds on what to do with it.Many still have hope that the Prince of Orange and
Princess Máxima will live there in due time.It would need a multi million make-over first tho,the last one being done in 1936 as it was
to be presented as a home for Juliana and Bernhard,so you can imagine it needs the works.

The office of King Leopold III from the estate of Argenteuil in Waterloo is constructed at the same tourism house in Waterloo where the temporary exhibition on his son Prince Alexander/Alexandre takes place at the moment. This is on display in the next room and is a permanent exhibition.

The corner who it was when King Leopold III died on 25 September 1983. Princess Lilian left his office how it was, not even touching/opening the newspapers of that day when her husband died very suddenly.

Again family photos. Lovely to see a picture of Princess Lilian walking with her granddaughter Alexandra Moncada on the estate of Argenteuil (bottom right). Never seen this picture before and to me I know only one picture of Princess Lilian, again with her granddaughter, in the very interesting book "Le Mythe d'Argenteuil" by  Michel Verwilghen.
