That is lovely. Elizaveta Alexeyevna was the wife of...Alexander I? Or whoever was before Catherine the Great, judging by the style of her dress. She was a very beautiful lady.

Marvelous! Thanks for all your efforts!. Collages are like potato chips...you can't have just one!
Haha, how funny. And true! I couldn't make just one collage, I have to make, like, 20!  And thank you for the compliment. I particuarly like the one of little OTMA with the text. (If you can't read it, I can tell you what it says.)
Here's more:
an autumnal collage of Olga:
Alix: [/IMG]
Olga smiling around 1907:
the Standart:  [/IMG]
I hope you all like them!  As I mentioned before, feel free to post any requests! I'm sort of running out of ideas, which is unusual for me, and I don't want to let the 10 more days of the trial go to waste, so to speak.

Wow! They are all wonderful. I love the beautiful colours you have chosen and the simplicity. The photos are allowed to speak for themselves .

I see you are using the Olga 1907 scan I just posted! I'm glad! That's why I do it! It looks great!

I'll try to think of ideas...really collages are like stills from a video...one is trying the same thing in each: create a new picture in the mind by combining known one in a different manner .

Nice!

Thank you again!  :)  Yes, I am using that photo you scanned. What book did you get it from?
That is a great explanation of a collage, very well put and eloquent!

I scanned it from a Russian book I got for the photos! Salbin's ten years on the Standart...I can't read a word. But it has  that group of  photos, which I have always loved.

Thank you! Your's are great too! It was really easy. There is a programme called "photofunia" with lots of diferents designs, you only have to choose the photo that you want and the programme does the rest. Here you have the link:
