I just got the old photo album of Henri, Count of Paris and Prince Michael of Greece today in the mail.

I like it very much, some same photos but in different poses. there is one creepy photo of  Victoire, Duchess of nemours on her death bed which creep me out.

 Not much of Sophie, only one known photo of her and other one of her with the English Royal family. quite disappointed, I wish someone would make a photo book about all the children of Max and Ludovika of Bavaria soon, that would be awesome!!!

And I care. I adore misspellings whose origins are oral, but have a very anal attitude towards misspellings that are the results of the shortcomings of Microsoft's Stalinistic monopoly.
If you have so little respect for the French language and/or take such a masochistic pleasure in being Bill Gates's bitch that you can't be bothered to find out how to write a ç on your computer (it's relatively easy with Alt Codes or Unicode), please follow the example of Shakespeare's First Folios and write "Alanʃon" ( i.e. Alenson) or, preferably Shakespeare's contemporary collegue Michael Drayton with "Alenzon". :-)

Death notice

It's not a death notice per se. The caption underneath the Duke's portrait just says that it's a portrait of the recently deceased Duke of Alençon, brother-in-law of "our" (i.e. the Austrian) Emperor, painted by "Prince Karl of Hohenzollern", a nephew of King Carol I of Romania. The whole article is devoted to an exhibition of works by "royal painters" in the Parisian "Pavillon Alcazar d'Été". Very interesting.

For the umpteenth time, enough. I think this has gone far enough. You have made your feelings known--fine. I respect your point of view. It is time, however, to show some respect to your fellow forum members. It is unacceptable to take such a tone with a fellow poster and call them someone's 'bitch' because they don't do things the way you think they should be done. I have been a member of this forum for over 6  years (and the poster you insulted, Rani, has been a long-term and valued participant and deserves better treatment) and I have never seen anyone carry on about the spellings--and we have had many authors and serious researchers on this site. Please stop posting in thread after thread chastising people for not using what spellings you consider proper. For anyone who wants to use them fine, it is NOT a forum requirement (respect and consideration towards other posters, however, IS) and that has been made abundantly clear at this point. For now, your behavior in chastising other posters (something that is pointed out to the mods even when we are not on a particular thread) is wearing everyone's patience thin. The standards are the standards and are the FA & Bob's to make as they choose and see fit. People who want to run things differently are free to set up their own groups and set their own rules.

The funeral of Sophie

I think the forum has become more personal. Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a bad person or an idiot. Understanding and respect to the indivual is so important in a logical dicussion.

Thanks Rani for the lovely pictures of Sophie's  furneral and the burst of Sophie (Is it in France ?). I think Sophie Charlotte's furneral was the last time Ex-Queen Maria Sofia of Naples and Countess Mathilde Trani made a public appearance.

There are many copies of the bust. One is in St. Emmeram/Regensburg.

This bust can be found in the so-called Casino at the Roseninsel, Lake Starnberg. (The photo looks so familiar to me ... Could it be that I took it?)

Yes, I am, but I am not member of a Sisi group. :-) Anyway, I've been to the Roseninsel, I took some pictures there and showed them on my website about Sophie. Maybe someone copied it or it isn't "my photo" at all.

Rani, if you are interested in those pictures I could send them to you via PM. There were some vitrines with photos, too.
