The marriage of Princess Mafalda in Racconigi Castle (1925). The Duchess of Genoa Isabella died in 1924.

Tommaso during 1915-1918 period (First World War) became General lieutenant of the Reign, a sort of Regent.

Prince Ferdinando Umberto Filippo Adalberto, 3rd Duke of Genoa, was born at Turin 21 Apr 1884, died at Bordighera 24 Jun 1963. He was Prince of Udine (primogeniture) from 22 Sep 1904 and Admiral of the Italian Navy.

(Ferdinando is in the right, next to him there are Aimone and Amedeo of Savoia-Aosta).

Ferdinando used to live at Venice, in the Arsenal, where there was a small house built for the Admiral. He had simple taste and he preferred his small house instead of living in the Royal Palace of Venice.

The Prince of Udine, married the 28 of February 1938 in Turin, the Countess Maria Luigia (born at Fossano 11 October 1899; died at Turin 19 Jul 1986), daugher of Carlo Alliaga Gandolfi, Count of Ricaldone di Borghetto and Elena Teresa Luigia Cavalli.
