Yes...Marie Leopoldine was actually quite friendly with the old Bavarian's successor, Max of Zweibrucken (who later became King Max I of Bavaria). He permit her to marry the man of her choice, and she was always a welcome guest at the court in Munich. After being barren with her first husband, she did became fruitful with the second.

Please. I would like to know something about Maria Theresa Cybo Malaspina, Duchess of Modena, Sovereign princess of Massa and Carrara. It seems to have been an illustrated woman who did a lot for the duchy. I have not a good portrait of her, really only a coin.

That's a pic of Villa Pentetorri del Duca which was situated where Parco XXII Aprile is now in Modena. For some reason the painting says "quattro torri" (italian for four towers)  but in fact it had five towers. This pic is from a ceiling decoration from  Villa Sassuolo.

Maria Beatrice di Savoia, Duchess of Modena and Reggio,Princess of Massa e Carrara, married Francesco IV, the son and heir of the Duchy (Austria-Este).

Francesco IV was son of Archduke Ferdinand Karl of Austria and Maria Beatrice di Este, who was the last Este heiress ( two Beatrice succeded, one as legitime heiress, the second as consort duchess)
