Hercole III di Este, duke of Modena, married Maria Theresa Cybo Malaspina, only heiress of the principality of Massa and Carrara. She was an illustrated woman who favorised arts and culture. a great personnality (no portraits on internet :-

They had a daughter: Beatrice, who was then heiress of Modena, Reggio, Massa and Carrara. She married the archduke F.Karl, son of M Therese, empress of the sacred roman empire. This time they had a heir male son: Francesco IV ( but obviously Austria-Este, not Este). He married a sabaudian princess: The second Beatrice ( of Savoy)

The second: Beatrice di Savoia, whose parents have great portraits in amedeo's topic. Her mother was Habsbourg as his husband.

Don't mix this Beatrice d'Este. One of the most beautiful and famous princess of the Renaissance. Daughter of Ercole I di Este Modena, sister of the archi-celebrated Isabella d'Este. This Beatrice was duchess, but in Milano, for she married Lodovico Sforza "Il Moro"
Both sisters were models for Leonardo da Vinci's drawings.

Ercole III, the last Este Duke in direct male line, so father of the first Beatrice, last Este duchess in her own right, before Austria-Este branch.

The palace of Rivalta was built between 1724 and 1727 according Wikipedia. According an other Italian website, it was for Francis III of Este and his wife Carlotta of Bourbon. In the times of the French revolution the palace has been destroyed.
