Arrigo Petacco mentions at the end of his biography about Marie an interview with Marie and her servant, Mr. Barcellona. On page 288 of the German version, Barcellona tells the interviewer about a house in Paris where they spent the time between October 1920 and October 1922. The house was located at the Boulevard Maillot. After Marie's departure in 1922, the house was sold.

Do you think that this house is different from the house in St. Mandé ?!

I think there are two houses in Paris (maybe wrong). One was lived in by Marie and her husband and when he died, they sold it and she bought a smaller house in Paris. That second house was the one sold in 1922 I think.

You may be right, Eric. I've never been to Paris, so I don't know the different locations. Maybe the house which was sold in 1922 still exists. It would be really interesting to know!
I also read something about a house called "Villa Hamilton" in France, maybe even in Paris ... I guess I have to look it up again.

I think Marie and her husband lived in Villa Neva, in St. Mandé and maybe after her husband died she sold it  and bought Villa Hamilton.

Eric, did you find in Paris the  Hôtel Vouillemont, where Marie lived in the 1870's?

I don't like this website very much, because the host tends to take pictures - even rare pictures - from others sites and puts them on his/her own.

I think Marie was Marie until she married Franceso II, after that she was named Maria Sofia.  Huh
