Thanks for that Michael. I have that book too but was far too lazy to type all that out.  Wink It's an OK book, I think, but a little . . . I don't know, drab, or something, because I found it hard to get into. Possibly just me. I found all the Scottish politics in it re Margaret a bit tedious, and wished that Margaret Douglas and the Brandon girls got more mentions.

I like the book, find it full of interesting sources, the book is about Mary & Margaret, and it does have some items about their children.   I do reccomend this book to anyone who would like to read it.  I do find the Scottish politics a bit boring, but Margaret did lead a more eventful life, than Mary's.

There is an excellent biography about Mary Rose called "The White Queen" but I donot recall the author. I first picked it up in the library many years ago, not knowing who it was about. The cover has the joint portrait of the very beautiful Mary with Charles.

I found a book called 'White Queen' in my library's online catalog, author Gwyneth Jones - but I doubt it's the right one... Amazon has the same book and no other called The White Queen. I doubt that this is it, as this doesn't look much like Mary  :-/  Grin

It's a fantasy book, methinks.  Grin

Amazon.co.uk have several 'White Queen' books listed by different authors but some have no info on them at all, so I don't know. . .

Charles Brandon's chiseled features looking suitably moody in the back there. Cheesy

Now I see why I couldn't find it right away, because of the "Mary Tudor..." part! They don't even have it available on Amazon UK... Must be out of print.

Have you pics about Mary Tudor and her great love Charles Brandon?

Walt Disney realized a movie about the love story between Mary and Charles; the movie is "THE SWORD AND THE ROSE". Have you screen captures about this wonderful movie?

Hello Veu, I know the film you mean, it is an enjoyable piece of whimsy with Glynnis Johns as Mary Rose.... utter rubbish of course but ideal viewed with a blazing fire , a large glass of wine and a box of chockies Grin There is a stunning portrait of MR with Charles, its around the Tudor thread somewhere I am sure.
