Maria went to Yekaterinburg with Nikolai and Aleksandra first, and were later followed by OTAA. Were OTAA left in Tobolsk all alone? In a book I read, I think it may have been Massie's book, it made a point that Tatiana was all alone to care for her nervous older sister, sick brother, and Anastasia. I find it hard to believe OTAA would have been left totally alone, but were they? Weren't there any maids with them or anything?

Of course, there were a lot of people: Gilliard, Gibbes, prince Tatishev, Tegleva, Bitner a lot of maids and servants. Some of them lived in the same house, other in the Kornilov House. They were alone, without dear parents and other relatives, had noone to really chear the situation, but physicaly speaking, they were not alone. You know, often we say about a prince or a tsar "he was alone", and that just mean he was alone of his rank, of his family.
