Hi everyone

The question was raised in the thread at the top of the page asking whether the survivor forum has outlived it's use. I passionately beleive that this forum should stay open but I was wondering if anyone had any questions left to ask that haven't been covered in the many comprehensive threads already in existence. Some of which are very long.

I was just thinking of using this as a brainstorming area to play with ideas and possibly flesh them out to form new threads that discuss new and fresh areas of interest.

If any of the mods feel this thread is unnecessary please feel free to delete this thread.

Let's try to keep the atmosphere nice and friendly as well Smiley it can get VERY heated in some of the more comntroversial threads.

Best wishes

I also frequent another board that has nothing to do with history, and the mods there always close and delete threads if they think an older one can be used. No matter how long or hard to load or out of date it is, they will not let you start a new one. So we should be very glad the mods here have been generous with us here. I think the problem that the same questions are being asked over and over and the same fights keep happening over and over have a lot to do with the mods wanting to condense here. Besides, someone somewhere must be paying for this site to stay up, and the more threads the more bandwidth and server space gets used. I would welcome a fresh new idea or discussion but I don't hold my breath one is forthcoming on this topic. Perhaps a new claimant will come forward. AA has been discussed to death and back again.

Since it was brought up here, I'm willing to give a small monthly donation to help pay for the bandwidth and server. I honestly don't know how the owner of this fine site can contend with not only meeting all of this sites needs, and the wide issues that transpire widely on these threads. I think I will repeat this echo on the main forum site. Perhaps there will be others willing to help defray the cost. This website and forum is to me, worth any and all supportive costs ! There is no website equal to the AP Website ! It's the very best of the best.

We have been blessed nearly from the beginning with those able and willing to help with this site. Many of the moderators have been friends of Bob's and Rob's for many years. For so long as we remain so wealthy in friends, this site will prosper.

Thank you for your kind response Lisa. Personally,
I would like to assist in my own way. Is there an
business address one might send on something
directly to Bob ? If so, would you kindly pm me the
address. Thank you. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Tatiana

I agree with you Annie, neraly all the existing topics have been discussed to death and most ened with the same bitter arguments. It would bee nice to see more threads on other subjects than AA but most of the other claimants have been overshadowed becasue of all the exposure AA's had.

On the subject of donations I encourage anyone who is kind enough and has the spare money to donate, this is a very large site and must cost a preety penny to run, I would myself but I need all the spare money I have for the college bus fare!

Best

Thank you all for such generous sentiments, however financial contributions are not necessary at this time to keep the AP site up and running.  You generous offers are quite appreciated, and we thank you for making them.

I think that Bob is able to advertise his online AMBER PALACE boutique so that might help defray funds.

I don't want to 'strangle this baby in its crib' - but there are so many threads on variations of this theme and they all seem to run in circles.

I think this forum is necessary. I mean, one of the most famous things about the Romanov massacre is the mystery surrounding their death and possible survivors.  And until the final two bodies are located or some of thier remains are found, no one can ever state as a fact that everyone truly died that night.
