I definitely have to agree with the general sentiment on this thread.  Laura is a kind and generous person who genuinely (sp) cares for the well-being of others.  I want to join in and THANK YOU Laura for giving your time and talking to me.

Even if I'm not as close as others here to laura Mabee, I MUST add that she seems an excellent person to me. Every time I read her posts, I feel something "especial" and kind about her, and I would like to know her personnally. She helped me very much in a religious thread here, where we were discussing Orthodoxy.

Congratulations, Laura Mabee! You are one who helps so hard to keep this site alive!  :D

I just want to add my praise of Laura.  This year has been a difficult one for my family, but Laura has been there for me with positive thoughts and prayers when I needed them most.  It is wonderful to know that there is someone, who you've never met in real life, sending you so much positive energy.

Thanks Laura!!

I consider Laura a sister in all but biology, so I can't help but reiterate all that's been said about her. She'll drop everything to help a person in need, and even when the situation seems to have no relief, she somehow finds it. Laura is the sunflower that John spoke of in 'Calendar Girls': 'The flowers of Yorkshire are like the women of Yorkshire. Every stage of their growth has its own beauty, but the last phase is always the most glorious, yhen very quickly they all go to seed. *laughter* Which makes it ironic my favourite flower isn't even indigenous to the British Isles, let alone Yorkshire. I don't think there's anything on this planet that more trumpets life that the sunflower. For me, that's because of the reason behind its name, not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky, a satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it, and that's such an admirable thing, and such a lesson in life.'

You're my sister in every way that counts, you're a remarkable human being, and I only hope I can be like you one day. *hug*

With all the love and respect that I possess, to my sunflower
Ari

PS. Don't cry, or I'll cry with you...lol
