I think it is nice. Especially since it comes from Queen Maria and it belonged to her. http://www.royal-magazin.de/yugoslavia/marija-serbia-gold-cross-tiara.htm

They are not that expensive. Queen Margaret II of Denmark designed her own jewels and head pieces using gold and semi-precious stones.

I just came across the article in Serbian newspapers about Queen Maria of Yugoslavia tiaras...

She had 5 of them in total:

Her first tiara was the golden one posted above and the only one still available to the family...It is said that it was her maiden tiara which she brought from Romania.

Her second tiara was the famous emerald tiara bought by King Alexander I from Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna jr. as an engagement gift for his future wife...

Her third tiara was the brilliant tiara gifted to her by the people of the Kingdom of Serbs,Croats and Slovenians on occasion of her wedding in 1922.This tiara was guarded as the family jewels along with the coronation Crown, scepter and the train...It is said that this tiara never left Yugoslavia and that is still in the vaults of the National Bank of Serbia...

Her fourth tiara was a Cartier gift tiara(along with a matching necklace) from King Alexander I on the occasion of birth of their first son King Peter II in 1923.When King Peter II married she gifted this tiara to his wife Queen Alexandra...Queen Alexandra later sold this tiara to an unknown buyer.

Her fifth tiara was the fringe diamond tiara that belonged to her aunt Princess Beatrice who sold it after the first civil started in Spain...

I think the second & the fourth emerald tiara & necklace set is the same.

The Russian emerald and diamond tiara originally belong to Grand Duchess Elisabeth of Russia (Ella of Hesse). It consist of the emerald necklace and tiara set that she later give to her niece Grand Duchess Maria Paulovna the younger as a wedding present. The necklace was later restyled by Cartier before being given to Mignon, once Missy bought it from Marie Paulvona.

I think you forgot to mention the gold tiara.

No,they are not the same.

She got the emerald one already as an engagement present(Maria Pavlovna's tiara and necklace) in 1922(necklace just remodeled year later by Cartier) and was already wearing the whole parure the same year in October at the coronation in Romania....

She got the other new tiara and a matching necklace on totally different occasion-as a present for the birth of King Peter II in September 1923 bought by her husband for that very special occasion-birth of a first child,a son and an desired Heir ...Later,she kept the emerald tiara for herself and just borrowed it to Queen Alexandra on a few occasions, such as the pre-wedding ball of Queen Elizabeth II,while the fourth one she gifted to her and later Queen Alexandra sold it to an unknown buyer, while the emerald tiara was sold to a known buyer-Van Cleef and Arpels...

This 4th tiara could well be this tiara:

I think you forgot to mention the gold tiara.

The golden tiara is mentioned as the first one...

Eric,I would like you firstly to read what I just posted, just in order not to repeat one sentence again and again because you didn't bother to read properly Wink Thnx

One more thing about the Yugoslavia's jewelry...In years passed by there was an article in Danjel's site about Princess Elizabeth's small diamond tiara...here in this picture:

Well,in fact, the tiara is not a diamond one,but a crystal one. Here is another picture of the tiara used by Crystal making company to promote their crystal productions:

Here is a link for this site in Serbian. It's called "The world of crystals"-just scroll a bit down to see the picture where Princess Elizabeth wears a tiara and promotes the company:

It is funny to see Catherine Oxenburg's husband wanted to buy her a tiara since her family lost most of Olga's jewels.

Eric,as I posted above, those were only part of the jewels belonging to Serbian ruling family from the first part of 19th century and were made in Vienna...and Mignon was born in 1900 Wink

The only thing which dates from the second part of 19th century is Queen Natalia's jewelry box...
