My local Waterstones (BIG UK book shop chain) hasn't even heard of it.  The woman at the desk looked at me as if I was crazy, typed something in the computer and said she couldn't find it so I gave up.

Amazon has no delivery date, and I don't want to buy it from Amazon anyway because I have a money off coupon for Waterstones.

I want to know when I can buy it!!! I have the money all set aside and everything! Why won't they tell us!!

My amazon account has an estimated ship date of TODAY, but it hasn't been sent yet. (I've only checked half a dozen times already today... Roll Eyes)

Rachel, check with Hatchard's [owned by Waterstone's]. Robin Piquet there should be able to locate it for you. He is charge of the royalty section.

Cheesy

Anyone have any updates on the exact date this book
will be available?

I put in an order at my local Borders, but they don't know if they will be getting it or not.

I can always use Amazon - but I'm wondering if definite dates have been set yet for availability?

Thanks!

Janet R.

According to Wiley's site,  the US release is in march, and the British release is in April.  This also concurs with Amazon.  Amazon.co.uk says April 7th

If your Borders does not get it in, they will check other area Borders for you.

You bet I will, Ortino!

In the meantime, you can read an excerpt at the publisher's website:
Chapter One

And if you're a heavy duty Romanov-addict, you can read the index there, too!

I love you Sarushka for providing chapter one, but now I just want to read more of it! I hope it comes soon, I am longing to bury myself in the small details of court life.

Thanks, Robert.  I intend on going to Hatchard's at some point shortly, so I will inquire when I go. Smiley

April! So long to wait!

Thanks so much for the excerpt, Sarushka...it reads really well, and I love the photos.  Just another month to wait...why do us lot in the UK have to wait another month!? No fair!

Well, Rachel, most books about  any royalty come out in the UK BEFORE we get them here in the US ! So, turn about is fair play. Since I spend 4-6 months a year in Britain anyway, I get the best of both !!

I heard  March 24th but I guess it's been delayed. Sad I hope it's not too much longer because I'm getting very impatient. I need a Romanov book to read.

Of course this one is probably going to be well worth the wait.

Actually, I've heard that it's right on schedule. Greg has already received his complementary author's copy. Also, my account at amazon says they're preparing the book for shipping, and I can no longer make changes to the order.  Cheesy

Sheesh, we're going to need a whole new thread to actually discuss the book when it comes!  Roll Eyes Wink

Mine says the same thing! I'm SO excited! Grin No doubt we'll need a whole new thread to discuss its contents, it includes a large variety of topics!
