*Ahem* It looks, OTMAfan, You recolored this one! And that is strictly forbidden. I mean look at the left side of the photograph it's doesn't look like the real background. This is not good!

Robby,  Angry.

Robby,

I'm not trying to be mean, but IMO that's not a re-colouring. The only ones I can think of are Merrique's and Lanie's and their's is much smaller. It can't be mine, as I left a little mark on the sash which I do not see there now. If you can find any more examples--please post. Thanks.

Robby, it is NOT a recoloring. I got the photo off the thread the girls: informal and formal, if you want the link, I will definitely give it too you. I did not recolor, honestly I don't know how to do that. Your accusation is false and very hurtful.

I think it is when you take a colored picture and then make it gray and add your own colors.

I may sound defensive, but I want to make it clear that it is NOT something I would do. I haven't before and wouldn't now. I am very HURT.

Maybe an Admin. can come straighten this up...?

This should be taken up with the Moderator (Laura) in PMs, not on the boards.

Ok, I get that. But why is it a bad thing to do?

Because not only has the person added color they might have adjusted the sharpness, brightness, saturation,  etc. which if someone re-colors a pic it's already done for them. I myself view it as a form of plagiarism

Now I know how you are thinking about me.

No one is "thinking of you" badly, she's just hurt because your original post was a bit sharp. On to more colored pictures...

As I mentioned earlier. Privately PM Laura with your concerns. Don't make accusations on the boards which may or may not be true. Laura will look into it and handle it.

One way to "protect" your colorings is to put your name on it in a way that can not be cropped out

And Amy, that's gorgeous, how long have you been coloring? ;DAnya

I think, but I'm not 100% certain, that I started coloring in the summer of 2003. I've only colored a handful since then, but I have been doing other projects in Photoshop, which I believe helped me when I colored this latest one. Thanks for the compliments. They're fun to do and it's nice to have somewhere to share them!

I just finished another photo. It's not Romanov related, but it is a historic photo.
