None. It seems she burned all of them, if she didn't, then there must be lost...

Can you explain me better why she and OTA burned their diaries? Why they didn't hide them...

The entire family burned their private correspondence when Commissar Yakovlev arrived in Tobolsk.

Alexandra's diary 9/22 April:
"Burned letters, arranged papers."

Nicholas's diary 9/22 April:
"We learned that the extraordinary commissar Yakovlev had arrived from Moscow...The children imagined that he would come today to perform a search, and burned all their letters, and Marie and Anastasia even burned their diaries."

If there was the possibility that Yakovlev was going to search the house, there was no sense in simply hiding the diaries.

Ah which we will never know...But OT never did it.....

Olga and Tatiana may not have been keeping current diaries in 1918. Olga's 1917 diary ends abruptly in March, and Tatiana's last known diary entry is on 24 October 1916 (OS). Like their parents', OTMA's past diaries may have been stored in crates in the outbuildings of the Governor's property.

Also, we don't know how many of their diaries M&A burned. Maybe only the 1918 volumes. Nicholas is the only person who mentions the younger girls burning their diaries, and he does not say how many they burned. It's possible that Anastasia didn't attempt to burn all of hers -- the pre-revolutionary volumes could have been lost or stolen from the shed in Ekaterinburg. (At least one of Aleksei's diaries was found in the home of a guard after the murder.)

Of all the imperial children, we can only be certain that Aleksei kept a diary in 1918. It's reprinted in French in Eugenie de Greece's Le Tsarevitch, Enfant Martyr.

Sarah is right. Aleksei's diary began and ended at Tobolsk ,1918 one, later he wrote some letters to Kolia, and tutors. At Letemin, was at his house Aleksei's diary found?

And hope if Anastaisa' diaries was lost.

Merry Christmas to you!

Do you use Google or Babelfish to help with your translations, or just a dictionary? They're very good!

I can read on August 17th - Drank tea with Mama, Papa, and T. and Olga. Her handwriting is not so readable. I can read 'Mordvinov', or something like that on the top - right side of page. Most likely that is name of an officer/guard who was on the duty on that day. If I read the name correctly, of course.

Anatoly Mordvinov was Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich's former Adjutant, after which time, during March 1913, he became a Fligel-Adjutant in the Imperial Suite.
