Thank you for the bulletin, Forum Administrators, regarding the sad news of the burning of the reconstructed Farm Palace at Peterhof. Arson is suspect, I am sure.

It will be a wonderful day in the world when those who wish to build and create are able to consistantly triumph over those who wish to break down and destroy.

Was it foul play or just good old negligence?
I too saw it the farm house this summer in Peterhof, how very sad, but apparently this is not terribly  uncommon...

In one of the articles it says it was a "electrical" shortage.. but I can't help think it was something more then that.

The Farm Palace will be completely restored in 2006, the fire cost is appr. $600'000 only.
