Please don't quote full-size photos -- it doubles the loading time for users without high-speed internet.  Smiley
So does that mean the same if I upload a full-sized photo but it is better to give a link out right?

I don't think most people mind full size photos, but links or clickable thumbnails are really ideal. It's just that having to wait for both the original photo and its quoted duplicate to load is completely unnecessary. Both ImageShack and Photobucket provide code for clickable thumbnails, which seem to provide the best of both worlds -- a glimpse of the picture and the link to the larger version.

Are you sure that's OTMA? I don't recognize anybody in the boat....

I am almost certain. In any case, my photo is captioned like such.

One recognizes well Nicholas II and surely Alexandra on the boat. But, taken by far, this picture does not show the faces well. But there are surely one or two of the girls with them, probably Olga, Tatiana and Marie upright.

Interesting. Maybe it's just me, but nobody looks to me the least bit like NAOTMAA on that boat. Undecided Cheesy
The man in particular -- he's got an enormous nose, and no beard! I don't think I've ever seen Nicholas wearing a striped shirt and/or a vest. He alsmost always wore military dress, or a plain whit shirt and slacks.

It's not just you Sarushka. I also don't think that anyone in the picture resembles NAOTMAA  Undecided. From what I can tell, the man is sporting a rather large moustache, but no sideburns or anything else that would indicate a beard. Also, the girl third from the right's hair appears to be styled somewhat similarly, but not quite the same as Olga and Tatiana's 1911-1912 "ponytail" hairstyle. Their hair was much longer and straighter during this period, and tied with a very large ribbon which isn't visible on the girl in the photo. But, hey, I could be wrong.

Karland Zita, where did you find this picture? I saw it a long long time ago (I think 1992) in an article of the french magazin "Madame Figaro" and always rejected it, as Madame Figaro is not espacially an historian magazin Wink. Where did you take it?

Indeed, I believe that these 2 photographs come from the Figaro Magazine published in 1992 in homage to the Romanov. But as I preserved only the article without the magazine, I am not completely sure.

At the time, several other magazine of Press had published similar articles on Nicholas II and his family at the time of the rediscovery of their family's photos. Wink
