You always have such good taste Robert!  I love the dog in "the entrance" picture above.....he seems to love living there too.

Does anyone have a suggestion about books that would tell a lot about the history of this Palace and most of all the INSIDE?  I knew it was called the Marble Palace and figured it was made of marble....outside.  I had no idea that the inside walls were covered with marble too.  The room with the different colors of marble worked into such a glorious scene is unbelievable!

What about the private suites are they all marble too?  Bedrooms too?

PALACES OF LENINGRAD by  V & A Kennet (1973 Thames & Hudson) has pictures and floorplans of most of the palaces.  At the time of this printing, the Marble Palace was the Lenin Museum.
