Now, to lighten things up a bit- Trotsky even made it on a Bulgarian post card & stamp ! Although I have a feeling it may not have been the Trotsky they had in mind...
Life may not be the party we expected, but while we are here, might as well dance..

That's great!

I think there are enough cat stamps out there, that every cat owner can claim his/her own  :)

This one even looks like it's of a cat that went into space! (which of course brings us back to our original topic of space aliens, sort of  ;D).

What did I say ? CATS rule the world. They have control over EVERYTHING, even post !!
Actually, I think the animal kingdom has spades over us, too sad that we abuse and ignore them so much.  They have so much to say. If we would only listen  just a bit more...

Considering all the bad things that happen when humans run the world, let's give the cats a chance!

Those are beautiful!

And they truly are aliens, as this picture of Sahara, my Lynx Point Siamese clearly shows.

(Her bue eyes need a red reduction, but she certainly looks alien-like)

My son calls this picture "Sahara Smile"

We adopted her from the Ct Humane Society which is a "no kill" shelter when she was two.

But here she is pretending to be just another "normal" cat. Just slightly irritated at having been "caught" with her "alien vision" in the above pic.

Absolutely love the kitty pictures!!

It's nice to know a majority of us are pet lovers!

Here are a few of my sweethearts:

This is Oscar, he's trying to reach out and touch someone... :D

Oscar is a very "in your face" kind of man:

As you can tell, I like to take pictures of Oscar!

And this is my old cat Spikes... He's 14 and has an attitiude...as you can tell..

Spikes was found at the humane society when I was kid, and Oscar (along with his sister) were found on the side of the road. But there is a long and sad story that goes along with that one.

Have you ever wondered how a cat always gets fish for his dinner without ever getting his feet wet?

I do not know about yours, Bear, but mine simply order me to open the tin for them. Works every time. Also, Trotsky seems to like water- he joins at the shower edge- a spooky experience to say the least, and he loves playing in the dishwater- bubbles! And outside they all love the fishpond- watching it. Never go after the fish, which they could not get to anyway as it is too deep and the fish stay well away from the edges and surface when the cats are surveying.

All of our animals have us well trained.  And, in case you haven't noticed, they learn our language, but we never learn theirs.

They learn to understand certain words we use with them, but when they come to us and meow, we have no idea if they are saying, "I love you", or "Get off your butt and clean the cat box!"

My kit kat has a language that I understand completely!  He has trained me to the 'nth' degree.

When he sits beside his litter box and cries,  only an idiot would not know what he means.

Even Robert's kit kat is some sort of a genius.

My kit kat is a Russian Black, the type you see in  St. Petersburg, Russia.  He's 18 years old and as strong as a tiger.  He loves to play Hide-and-Seek at night.

I just found some kitten pictures of Skimmer, he is about 6-7 weeks here, so this was 4 years ago. I had forgotten how cute he was!
