Just beautiful!  They are so cute when they are small.  And look at all of us cat lovers.  We turned a perfectly good Alien Intervention thread into a cat "fest".

All seven of ours from age 5 months to seven years are a joy.  I would be lonely without a cat in the house.

Someone once said that "The cat is the soul of the house"  I am going to have to look it up and find out who.  I saw it on a calendar, I think.

 ;)

I just couldn't resist posting our newest "space alien".  Her name is Layla and we got her from the Rose Hope Animal Shelter here in CT.

She is our five month old.  She has the softest fur I have evn felt on a domestic short hair.  She is full of life and runs around "nipping" at the back legs of the older cats.  They all put up with her except our "Queen" Noel. (Noel doesn't put up with anyone.)

One could say that our little ones are "devoted to each other".

Makes me wish I had a family that wasn't allergic to cats...otherwise I'd have one.  He'd probably be a violent little bugger, too.

YESSSS!!

My whole family, including me, is allergic to cats. Looking at your pictures, I wish we weren't! Although they would totally beat up my poor dog.

Ms. Wilson: your dogs are gorgeous!! I live in a tiny house and I'm allergic to big dogs, but aren't they great? They look like both a lot of fun and a lot of work! It's awesome that you have a horse, too, I love horses but I'm allergic to the mix of horses and hay so I can't spend a lot of time in a barn with horses or anything.

Samantha says she thinks all the tabbies are beautiful, and would love to dine with Trotsky and Squash one day on crystal dishes at the Alexander Palace.

Squash is a farm boy who was taken to an estate where  his duties are catching mice and rats, therefore,  lacks proper indoor house manners. He drinks water in the toilet. So, before he meets you and Trotsky in a palace,  he'll need instruction. Do you have anyone in mind who'd help this farm boy about forks, spoons and crystal dishes?  Oh, almost forgot,  he'll  need lanuage lessons.  He does not understand Russian.  Although I do believe he knows one word,  "Meow."

Trotsky would love to join- he likes palaces. Besides, he has really been annoyed with Stalin lately, so I am told.

Samantha may be classy now but she was born a poor kitten to a stray and streetsmart Ma cat. They taught her the ways to survive in the wild, but unlike her siblings she always seemed more fancy like she was above them and just by the way she sat I could tell she was special. We used to call her Beautiful Stray Jr. because she looked like her dad, but something was so elegant about her, even under the shed. My daughter caught her and brought her inside, and since then she has been pure high class. She knows her fine crystal from the cheap dollar tree glasses, and she can tell the others what is proper! Should be  a fine kittycat's party! (anybody remember that song?)

Squash voiced that he'd like to attend the party.

Will it just be just us or can make this party  open to all cats who's caretakers post on this forum?

ALL cats welcome! We'll have to ask them if we caretakers are welcome too.

If there is no objection, all seven of my cats would like to join in.

"Grand Duchess" Noel (Never ask her if she is truly a "princess".  She has read The Last Grand Duchess by Vorres and she is fond of quoting Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna.  "I am not a princess, I am a Russian Grand Duchess!"

Summer (snow shoe Siamese) quiet and shy

Sahara   (Lynx point Siamese)  round - like an armadillo with a lynx tail.

Layla  (The above pictured tab')

Lucky Star  a mackeral orange tabby (the one with the "talk to the paw" picture)

Pook  Russian Blue alien

Kirby buff tiger with white paws and a white bib (He is always ready to party down. He keeps his bib on just to be ready!) I guess he is a buff colored tuxedo cat.

Some are "party trained" with "very good" manners and others a bit rowdy.  However Grand Duchess Noel keeps them all in line and on their toes.  Just one "hiss" and they back respectfully away.

I have asked them if "caretakers" are invited and most agree that is would be wonderful to meet others who are "owned" by cats.
Grand Duchess Noel simply sniffed and turned away.  We all live here on her sufference and so she feels that no answer is needed.

Since I can't keep Layla off the dining room table lately, I think she is practicing her silverware technique.

They do insist though, that a fine menu of fish and fowl and, of course, cream would be a place to start.
