In a book abput Franz Iread that he was about or a little over six feet tall at seventeeeen.. His mother said that he was an "abso;te giant''. He was a very handsome young man lke his father waaas when he was young.[/size]

[size=16]Hi. All of the pictures of Napoleon II are wonderful. I can't seem to find anymore. This is turning into a picture forum instead of a discussion forum. That's ok though.
In the book Napoleon's Son, it says little about Fanny. I only skimmed through it, so I don't know very much. But what I read was interesting. She was a ballerina he met at a theatre one night. She called for him to her dressingroom after her performance. She was also a year older than he was. That's all I can remember. It has been years since I've read the book. There may be a little more information about her on th net.

Beautiful portraits!!!! I love the one where Napoleon is carry little Reichstadt on a globe!!!! napoleon as a devoted father to Reichstadt, he was a far better parent than Marie louise who it must be said wa far more interested in her lover than in her child!!
I had never heard anything on Fanny could you tell us some more?

This is very interesting, I know so little about mistresses or relations of Napoleon II. I only know that some say he had a close and maybe amorous relationship to his aunt Sophie (wife of his uncle Franz Karl and mother of his cousin Franz Joseph!)
Some want to state the later emperor Maximilan of Mexico, brother of Franz Joseph, was his son, but this is surely nor true, but had been quite fascinating
