Quite a few already in her daughter's thread...a rehase of old photos ?  

I know that Helene was not the beauty of the familiy, but is that a reason to publish no photos?  

No...I am saying that they are covered on the sisters of Sisi thread. It that a crime to speak the obvious ?

You can find so many pics of Helene in other threads like "Louisa and Elisabeth of Thurn und Taxis" that it doesn't make so much sense to start a new topic dedicated to Helene ...

I always wondered...was she happy in her marriage with Maximilian von Thurn und Taxis? I know that Ludovika, her mother, had not expected a marriage for Helena after the Bad Ischl episode, when Franz Joseph made clear that he only wanted to marry young Elisabeth. When Helena met Maximilian and they were determined to marry each other, Ludovika carefully urged Sissi to do all that she could to guarantee the marriage because king Maximilian II of Bavaria was very reluctant to allow a bavarian princess grand-daughter of a king, niece of two queens and sister of an empress this wedding. Of course, Sissi did all that she could!

Have you ever been to the archives of St. Emmeram? In Vienna there are only 9 pictures of Helene, although she was the sister of Empress Elisabeth. That's strange.

I tried to get into that archievs but was refused... ...Only 9 in Vienna ? That is strange indeed. Hope they have more of Marie & Mathilde.

Yes, there are more pictures of the other sisters, especially of Marie. I will have a look at some pics of Mathilde in two weeks when I'm in Vienna.

This Helene's photo was allready somewere posted, but I like it.

In the book I think the title is something like The Habsburg family photo album or something like that, there are quite a lot of Helene's photos.
Does someone has this book?  Can be those photos scaned?
