FA you did say that you're going to make the boards/postings/threads on the old site  "ready only" pages? Right? That way if I want to look for something I know was posted, but it was awhile ago I can still access it? Or we can direct others to them too?

I like the new look and layout of the new forum but can someone please  tell me how to enable the smileys and other such features such as colors and italics? I used to be able to just click on a smiley. I don't think I disabled the smileys in my profile.

Makes no sense to me. Can you SEE the toolbar, but nothing happens when you click them? or is the toolbar gone?

I see the toolbar but when  I click on it nothing happens. I'm going to back and check my profile just to make sure I didn't accidentally disable them.

I am ok with the new format, but I have to agree with Daivid P. that the print is too light and small. Changing the template, though, helped this a lot. Much easier for me to read. I do like very much the improved notification feature- almost unlimited it seems. Not quite sure what the  "add to favourites" list actually does though.
One thing I would have liked, not just on this forum but others as well is spellcheck.
as you can see, I am experimenting with the size & font, but this is too much bother to do everytime one posts !

Ok, another annoying question  Roll Eyes
How come when you do the search now you are only limited to 15 results?

Does it have to do with what will be the "read only" pages of the old site?

You can change the default setting of 15 to whatever you want, just type in a new number. FYI you get better results limiting one hit per thread.

I can't see the "Alexander Palace" banner at the top anymore. All I see is this rather ugly http://forum.alexanderpalace.org/yabbfiles/Templates/Forum/default/yabblogo.png How can I get the nice bar at the top back?

Angie; Yes, you are correct.

I don't quite understand your answer.  I asked if there was a link to the Alexander Palace Time Machine.  Are you referring to the banner (which is now no longer appearing)? Or has it something to do with the smiley? Wink

FA I did what you said and I got this message:
"The requested number of results is higher then the maximum number allowed by the system.
Maximun Search Results Allowed = 15 "
