As part of the attempt to de-bug the system, I had to rever the template back to the original version from the new software.

Bob's beautiful logo banner and the link back to the mainpage which were both there yesterday, will be restored shortly.

Oh! I thought it was just me, because I changed a couple settings in my profile (the time). I LOVE the new stuff at the top. Especially the picture of the AP.

I'm loving all the latest improvements, especially the colour scheme and the larger standard font!

BUT one more question.  When I try to open older threads, I get a message that "an error has occured".  They can not be opened.

The Alexander Palace image on the banner is magnificent. It is simple, and the Palace appears to be enveloped in mist giving it some mystery - and that idea appeals to me.

I have only one minor concern. I notice that the font size has been increased today. I am aware that some posters prefer this larger size, however I prefered the smaller one. If most prefer this size then I will adjust.

I checked again to make sure that the error is still transpiring, before telling you of the difficulty that arises when i am ready to logout. I did not want to bother you if I could make changes myself.

When I go to logout, I place the mouse where required on the logout area. Nothing happens. I then have to do this again at least two times, and still nothing transpires. However, when I decide to press on one of the threads it suddenly states that an error has transpired, and at the same time, I am logged out.

Thank you kindly for any support and assist I might have in regards to the issue(s) above. Thank you also for all the hard work put in on the new AP Website. I enjoy the new website and all it's changes.

I have no idea what is causing this "gremlin" for you. I have had similar problems, but not this exactly. I'll take a look at this and see whaqt I can do.

I have no idea what is causing this "gremlin" for you. I have had similar problems, but not this exactly. I'll take a look at this and see whaqt I can do.

I had six or seven emails yesterday reporting a denial of access to the forum. People all freaked out they were "banned". I haven't banned anyone at all. First, if you're banned, you get an email from me and, you can still read the forum as guest, just not log in to post.  Even if you did, you get the Forum logo and a message saying specifically that "You are banned".

THIS problem is a server problem. You get a server message "You are not permitted access to forum.alexanderpalace.org".  This is a temporary message that arises from several things. The cause is either Walt is working on server issues to make things faster and smoother, or the server processor is running at full capacity and simply can't accept any new users (we are addressing this with the new processor in the next week or so.)

SO, bottom line, be patient and wait five or ten minutes and come back.  If you have this problem persisting over more than an hour or so, don't hesitate to email me and please include the identity of the internet provider you use so I can check IP addresses for issues.
